this is my problem,i have a 36 inch sharp aquos tv about 6 or 7 years old and when i turned it on yesterday the power indicator light went from red to green and then back to red after 5 seconds,no matter how many times i tried to switch it on i got the same result.is there any kind soul out there that can tell me what the problem is?.cheers
What is the model number of your TV?
In the mean time, you can try a reset:
Unplug your TV and leave it unpluged for 20 seconds.
Then hold down the power button on the TV (not the remote.)and plug in the TV while holding power button.
Count to 10 slowly and release the power button.
Hopefully this is not the case, but for it to keep turn off after you turn it on, something might be shorting out, and the power supply board will most likely need to be replaced. Nobody really repairs PSB anymore, when it's just cheaper to buy a new one.
