Hi,

I have a Sony KDL-40D3500 and i'm trying to record my PS3 on to my Laptop using a USB Video Capture card.

I have my PS3 plugged into the AV1 scart plug and the AV2 scart plug (I think) doubles as an input/output port... this is where my Laptop is plugged into.

I've got the AV2 Output set to Auto, which I've read that I have to do.

Does the TV detect whether the device plugged into AV2 is an input or output device? I can't seem to specify which direction I want the port to run in.

If I plug my PS3 directly into the Laptop using composites, I get an image, so it's definitely not my Laptop/Capture card.
