Thin multicolored vertical lines on plasma tv

I have a 50" lg 50pg30 plasma tv that's about 3-4 years old. A week ago I noticed to very thin multicolored vertical lines on the right side of my screen. The lines are about 2 inches apart and are to thin to really measure. They are barely visible when dark colors are on the screen but when it's a light color you can't miss them. Can anyone offer any solutions to fix this? I had hoped I could at least try a software update via the usb service port but I can not find one anywhere and lg will not give me one. I would also really appreciate it if someone could give me a link or point me towards an update. Thanks!
