My cousin just gave me his 26 inch lcd tv. It is an older model that works. The only problem is it has 2 vertical bars/bands, one on the left and one on the right. These bars are equal width and equal distant from edges of screen and equal in width to distance from edge about 2 1/4 inch. They seem to be right where 4:3 ends. They are not solid they are made up of many blue horizontal pixelated lines. The one the left is faintly visible if at all. The right one goes away slightly if brightness is turned all the way down. I have done the wiggle test on all connections. I have taken the TV apart down to pieces cleaned and reassembled, still problem is there. I am guessing a video circuit board is bad but dont know which one. Nothing smells or looks bad? I am not paying a service shop to not care and want to charge me an arm and a leg to not fix problem. Any ideas on what board to start with? It is a PHILIPS 26PF9966/37.
