I have dish service with no contract. I own my satelite and receiver.
My problem is I want to buy a dvr that records one or two programs at the same time and I don't want to pay a monthly service fee or rent equipment on sign a contract.

I also don't have a land line telephone. I don't know if that has anything to do with a dvr.

I need a dvr that is compatible with dish and doesn't require a land line for programming downloads.

I will be moving to my property which is remote and a total green zone. It is all solar and wind and renewable energy. So everything will be over the air.
