Hello All,
just looking for some help with a problem i'm having with my External dvd burner,no drivers came with the burner, here's the scenario... I was running the burner on a laptop with windows Vista OS and it ran just fine. All aspects worked burning of dvds and cds, reading of both original and copied dvds and cds, and lightscribe. My laptop died a few weeks ago and a good friend of mine gave me an old HP pc running windows XP he had to tie me over till I finish building my new pc. After re loading my burning software onto the HP I proceeded to burn one dvd with the external burner no problems.... or so I thought... Right away I started having problems, both Nero and Ashampoo Shrink and Burn would fail on the burns. I noticed that with Nero it would start to write the lead-in and then fail, the same with Ashampoo... then not long after that (maybe a couple of days) it would fail right away! I tried uninstalling and re-installing the burner with no luck. It now won't read burnt dvds or cds only originals, and it won't burn anything.. HP has been no help and I have yet to find anything on the internet to solve my problem. If anyone can come up with a fix please share it with me... Thank you all
