Hi All

I have a LG 387H HDD DVD recorder which i think is excellent as it does everything i want.

However the Disc drive seems buggered as it will only open sometimes.

Someone mentioned to me that the motor may have gone on the drive, which i find odd as i dont even remember using it that much as i would mainly use the HDD.

Anyway i have 2 questions

1 - any suggestions what i can do to try & fix this as its out of warranty
2 - I thought about changing the actual disc drive, if so does anyone know if these recorders will take a standard laptop drive?
