xSubs in Philis HDR3810

Hello all.

I recently bought the HDR3810 DVD recorder with HDD by Philips, and I can't get it to display the xsubs in .divx files. The device is supposed to be DivX certified (has a "DivX Ultra" sign on it).

The program I used to insert the subtitles in the .divx file is AviAddXsubs (v9.3), and it plays fine with subtitles in every other DVD player I tried (I have been making DVDs with .divx files with xsubs for months now and viewing them on my older DVD player).

Am I doing something wrong, or is it possible that the device doesn't support displaying of XSubs?
