I am new to Afterdawn.
I have copied Super 8 home movies to VCR(professionally done) and now have copied VCRs to DVDs. Can I add sound to the DVDs with a microphone?
What software would I need?

You can either create a new separate, selectable audio track and add it to the DVD or overdub the existing track.
To overdub, you generally have to demux the audio and video into separate files (using the likes of PgcDemux).
Open the audio portion in Audacity (making sure that the appropriate filters have been installed) then use a mic to record an additional track.
After you are satisfied with the new recording, its placement and volume with the existing track, render the tracks together and save.

Use MuxMan to mux the video and new audio.

Note the reference to headphones - this is if you are playing back the original audio while talking into the mic.
Naturally, the output from the sound card can be picked up from speakers, so you would unplug your speakers and plug the headset instead.
