Best DVD Backup Solution?

Hi,
I am after some advice with backing up my dvd collection. The software I use to rip is Ripit4me, DVD Decrypter then ImgBurn to burn.
What I would like to do is back up my DVDs including Dual layer discs onto my computer without compression. I would like to be able to play the movies on my computer but also potentially burn them at a later date onto blank dual layer discs. I have heard the best way to rip dual layer dvds is to an ISO because it retains the correct layer break. Can I easily play an ISO movie on my hardrive as well? Is ripping to ISO the best solution or should i keep them as DVD files (vob?s etc) and if so do I need to worry about layer breaks?

You can Play an ISO with your PC.
ISO is your best bet.
Not worry about Layer Break is set automatic if you are using DVD Shrink as a Transcoder.

ON DVD-SHRINK: Edit > Preferences... > Set your "Target DVD Size" from DVD-5 (4.7GB) to DVD-9 (8.5GB) > OK
