Hello,

I have ripped some dvds to mkv/mp4 earlier.
Is there a easy.....and free(?)way so I could remove parts of the video?

If the MKV uses h264 (AVC) then there's a simple cutter (MKV Cutter) that can be used.
You select the bits you want to save and it outputs a new file.
The advantage of this editor over most free ones is that it allows you to select any frame (most free programs only allow cuts on Key Frames) and it only re-encodes at the cut point.
The disadvantage is that the GUI is quite primitive.

Perhaps AviDemux (set output to mp4 and Video/Audio to copy).

Or use MkvMerge to put the .mp4 into .mkv, then use the .mkv in MKV Cutter.

Neither of these formats easily lend themselves to editing with the free tools available.
I would have ripped the DVD to the hard disk and did the editing before converting to a different format.
