Error when using mkvmerge to rip DVD to MKV

Hi all.

I have a VIDEO_TS folder from a DVD, from which I am trying to use mkvmerge 6.8.0 to rip some .vob files to .mkv.

They all work fine except for one .vob file, for which I get the error message:




I don't have a clue what this error message means or how to fix it.

Does anyone have any suggestions please?

web search brings up others having same issue have you tried answers to rectify the issue your having

i think i had an issue with an error like that a little while ago with mkmerge,it was a complete main movie with intro & outro removed,i assumed it was something in dvdshrinks cutting process that caused it so used vidcoder instead,if all you want is a mkv file then try that,it also allows loading multiple encodes as does handbrake

I've used MakeMKV on original disks and folders:removes protection - worth a shot.
File > Open Disc or File > Open Files
