Hi All

I'm in the process of copying all my DVD collection onto my computer for my own personal use, and have completed the transfer of many DVD's without any issues.

I am using DVD Decrypter in order to copy the DVD's to my drive as a single VOB file, then using AutoGK to convert the large VOB files to DivX files of 900MB each.

As said before I have converted a large number of DVD's to my HD using this process and have never had any problems until now.

When I try to rip the Alien Quadrilogy box set to my PC using DVD Decrypter I loose all sound, the DVD its self plays fine on my PC, however the VOB file created during the rip process has no sound, I have altered none of the settings that I usually use to rip DVD's and every other DVD I have ripped works fine, except All 4 Alien films which none of them have sound.

I figure its more than likely a codec problem but I have no idea what codec I need in order to play these files and, any ideas?

Can you try ripping the files with DVDFab HD Decrypter instead of the old DVD Decrypter to see if it's a protection issue.

Ok I have ripped the DVD using DVDFab as suggested and it resolved the sound issue, however I cant seem to find an option to merge all the VOB files into one single VOB file like you can with DVD Decrypt

Is there an option to do this inside this program, or alternatively is there a way to convert all the individual VOB files that make up the entire film into a single AVI file?

You can load the complete title into AGK by selecting 'VTS_01_0.IFO' (if VTS_01 is the main title).
Optionally you can use VOB2MPG to convert all of the VOB's of the title into a large mpg file and load that.

Shart - DVDFab does not give you the option to join all of the .vob files. If you want to do that you will need an application like VideoRedo. I rip all of my dvd movies using DVDFab to create a .vob file and use VideoReDo to convert the movie to dvr-ms for playback. VideoRedo has an option to join all of the .vob files into one.
