Karate Kid ripped and burned but won't play in a dvd player
I know it's random and probably a generalization, but can anyone let me know why this may have happened? Is there a new protection on new releases or am i just doing something wrong? I'm not new to ripping movies either so i'm kind of lost right now on why this is happening.
Shrink last update back 2003-2004 version 3.2.0.15.(ALWAYS FREE) Never a new and improveded DvdShrink.
DvdFab LQQKS like 8.0.2.2, went to DvdFab.com
I just used AnyDvD to decode and burned file to hard drive, then used DvdShrink to shrink the files and ImgBurn (Free) to burn to disc. (Iron Man 2)
Good Luck

It kills me seeing people having so much trouble ripping movies using DVDFab. I too have the latest DVDFab but sometimes you just have to go back to the basics. Try this for Iron Man 2: Open DVD Shrink and click on Re-author and go to the DVD Browser tab. Double click once on your DVD drive that Iron Man 2 is in and you should see Menus, Main Movie and Extras. Click on Title 29 and drag it over to the DVD Structure window. Now open the Compression Settings tab and get rid of the foreign languages and any Director Commentary languages. The less it has to compress the better the quality after you rip then burn to DVD. That's it.
For Karate Kid 2010, try this: Same steps as Iron Man 2 but choose Title 1 instead. Remember to always close and reopen DVD Shrink after each process. You can use DVD Decrypter to create an ISO and burn your movie or any DVD burning program you like.

Thanks for this step-by-step info. I always like going "back to the basics". I was wondering, how did you know which title to use? Was it just trial and error on your part, checking each one? Again, many thanks.
Glad I can help. I usually figure out which title it is by viewing DVDFab forums and most of time it's the first title. Just read the DVDFab forums that people are having trouble ripping and most likley it will the title that's needed. I got lucky when I was ripping KICKASS. DVDFab said it was title 11 but it was only part of the movie. At that time there were no forums about it. DVDFab left out most of the beginning part when it picked Title 11. Rip with DVDFab and open with DVDShrink and pick Title 1. It's got the beginning part that was left out. BTW, awesome movie!
Anyone can send me a PM anytime if you need help. Peace out...
