I download avi's all the time. (example: "Doctor Who", Rizzoli & Isles", "Elementary",etc)
The quality is always Perfect. It looks as it would if I was watching my HD dish on my HD tv.
Does anyone know what converter these people could be using to produce perfect avi's?
I would like to convert from a dvd to avi with the same quality.
Can anyone help?
I would appreciate any help anyone can offer.

Handbrake only makes MP4 and MKV. It does not combine two vob files and once they are converted to the MP4 or MKV, I can't use Virtualdub to combine the two files.
Is there another converter that creates the avi that is exactly like the original?

You can use VobMerge to join your .vob files before you do any conversion, then your source will be one combined .vob

Then in Handbrake, on the video tab select MPEG-4 as codec but manually type yourfile.avi in Destination then it should output you an .avi file. It should work.

Or you could just use AutoGK
