I purchased the new DVD wanted to add it to my video library so I can travel with it. I tried using a program called Handbrake, but it cannot seem to get the job done.

Each disk is made up of two shows, so I tried to do a title specific rip. I watch the show I wanted and made note of the title, but the system was still not able to rip the title. Here is the odd part. Let's say the tittle for the show I wanted was 33. If I went back to the main menu and restarted the same routine over, it now shows up as a different title, 45 in this case. I tried ripping every title on the disk with the same duration, but that does not work either. The outcome was a bunch of titles mashed together in an odd order.

I did notice that there are a few titles that are skipped or not listed.

Any ideas?

handbrake doesn't rip protected dvd's use anydvd (free trial 30 days) or dvdfab (free 30 day trial but will never expire the ripping part as that bits free permanently),you could try dvd shrink as well at least for editing if it fails to rip

there is an art to some of these multi-episode disks.. even I have had to rip individual bits (not letting some ripper try to reassemble them into a mess) then stick the bits together in the right order myself using avidemux. I'm not going to talk about the vagaries of my virtually obsolete psl dumper.. nobody has updated it in years.. last version (2006) is still used by dvd-fab.. and it does get it wrong occasionally.. (don't ask.. I stopped working on it after being named in a "cease and desist" lawsuit)

I have no idea if you can access this link.. it may be private and this site doesn't accept new members.. but lots and lots of interesting info about how dvd copy protection actually works (and how to get around it without using any specialist tools)
