Many Thks TO DPP and RULISKY

uploaded win. 7 to system(SCALEO 600 MS 6585) with no changes(750 mb ram)

everything works fine. EXCEPT WINDOwS AERO.
using windows basic theme.
display is slightly dark even with brightness and contrast at 100%.
streaming is very dark picture.
Device manager:
yellow marks in other devices video controller

so thinking of changing graphics card (AVAILABLE CHEAP) to underneath card.
after updating ram and power unit.
what do you think.

would the below card suit the microstar ms 6585 motherboard.
thks for any advise given.

your motherboard has an agp slot for the videocard so any videocard you want has to be agp not poci not pci\\e but agp. check this link on agp videcards http://www.canadacomputers.com/search_r...0&cPath=43_1200
get more ram as 750megs is not enough as your board can go to 3gigs of ddr ram not ddr2 nor ddr3 but ddr.

will get more ram,
upgrade power supply
the real problem is how do i pick a graphics card. suitable for the motherboard .
ms-6585
are all agp the same size and fit.
will any agp card fit.
any info would be appreciated
Is there a site that can guide me through a graphics card upgrade

your agp slot is for an agp8x card so most agp cards will work in it. you just have to worry about the height of the card as some desktop cases cannot hold a full height videocard as you won't be able to close the cover of the case.

be better off saving up some more money & get a dual core with 4gb-8gb ram or more,it'll have hd audio,8 usb ports,hd graphic card & anywhere between 80-1tb hdd & if it's ex-lease you won't pay more than $200nz for a dell optiplex 755 2009,well that was two years ago now

the issue you'll most probably face with what you want to do will be system resources,you'll need to be careful what programs you install or it will come to a crawl
