ASUS Laptop help please

Hi guys,

I wondered if any of you guys could give me a little advice with my Asus k56c-a laptop please.

About a week ago I swapped out the dvd drive for one of those those dvd hard drive caddys. I installed the caddy and the new drive was dead so I put the dvd drive back in and the laptop booted fine. I rebooted later that day and it did not turn on the power button light comes on and that's about it.
I would say it's a bios issue but I'm not 100%.
I tried a few things after a Google but not of them seem to work.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

when you rebooted that day was the dvd drive back in the laptop or was the caddy hooked up?
