hi
I have a problem thats been bugging me for a long time. my pc specs just in case you need them to identify the problem: custom built computer with 2 gb ram, 320 gb hdd, built in nvidia geforce 8300, amd phenom x3 2.1 ghz processor. the problem is whenever i connect my pc to a tv through HDMI, the resolution is absolute bullcrap. the colour is crap, the resolution is crap, the text is small. my tv is 720p. when i put it on the 1080p tv in the living room the only resolution that looks good on hdmi is 1600x1200 . when i contacted Asus, they told me to change the hybrid sli frame buffer size in the bios from 256 to 512 mb but that didnt change anything. the vga and dvi ports work great.

please help me!

I think no one is answering, as you seem to lie in your post..."when i put it on the 1080p tv in the living room the only resolution that looks good on hdmi is 1600x1200"

A 1080P TV would look terrible at 1600x1200...assuming it was able to display it at all.

Is the 720P screen an old tube-style TV, Plasma, Projection, or LCD? Unless it is LCD, it will look like crap; those old screens support 720P input, but the screens themselves were not much better than an old SDTV, in fact they were actually worse than a good SD studio monitor.

If you can disable hybrid SLI completely, you should. That is just for people that have really, really slow video cards, and want to get a tiny bit more performance from the onboard video chip.

Try these resolutions with the 1080p TV:
1280x720
1920x1080

Dude why would i be lying? to answer you r questions:
1- my 720p tv is a 19' lcd.
2- when i said 1600x1200 looked good on the 1080p i meant that the text/font wasnt as blurry as when i set it on 1920x1080 and 1280x720.i also meant that the whole screen would be filled when i set it on 1600x1200.
3- my living room tv is an LG 47LH55 47'

so what you are saying is that the problem is from hybrid sli?
how can i disable it?
thanks
