I got a new monitor a few months ago, and I just used it under its default settings. Last week a friend told me I can get a better picture if I set it to its recommended settings, pixels and frequency. So I looked it up, set the settings straight, and now the picture is much clearer, better colors and text.
The problem is that when I am streaming video from the internet I can not play it in full screen. When I try to do that the video just pauses and audio continues. Video steaming used to work before I changed my settings, but now I have to view it on a small window instead of on full screen. If I am playing a video file that is saved on my hard drive I can go full screen and its all fine. I just cant do it with streaming video (hulu, etc.)
Hulu works perfect on my screen at 1680x1050 @ 60htz. What monitor driver are you using? It is usualy best to use "plug and play monitor" even on screens that have drivers.
Also make sure you have the latest flash player, and right-click on the video window, click "settings", and make sure hardware acceleration is enabled.
Still have the same problem.
Monitor drive is plug and play, I have the latest flash player and in video settings I have hardware acceleration enabled.
I have this problem with any web page that plays video, not just hulu. I didn't have the problem before I changed my settings so I don't think its some kind of update I have to do.
