Ok, here's my situation, I'm currnetly running an XPS M2010, and with the heat lately, the machine has been getting hot as hell. If it was a standard size laptop, I would just go out and buy a cooling try, but I don't think there are any large enough for it. The base measures, 19 inches across, 9 inches from back to front (14 when the keyboard is attached), so I figured I would just build my own using a couple of case fans.
My only problem is the wiring. I would have to wire the fans to an external power source, or possibly even usb, and I'm not exactly sure what I would need, or exactly how to do so. Any ideas?

You might consider getting some cheap heatsink stock, and forgoing the fans. This is how I cooled my first mobile DVD player (it was too small for a laptop cooler, and it got crazy hot without a cooler).

not to sure I would be able to use them.... I would have to put them inside the laptop (I think I am right with that), and there is next to no room inside this machine. I really gotta do something though, I have SpeedFan running so I cna monitor the internal temps
HD0: 42C
Temp1: 40C
Core0: 47C
Core1: 47C
CPU: 47C
GPU: 50C
DIMM: 70C
Temp4: 46C

And thats after sitting idle for a long time. If I boot up a game or anything,, everything spikes to around 70C

No can of air, had to do it all manually. Stripped the system down to its bare case last night, and cleaned everything until it looked like it just came off the production line... But, same situation remains.

Could you elaborate on that please? What would I be looking for in the Bios? I check for anything in there regarding my fan and fan speeds but didn't see anything.

No, I mean just place the laptop on the heatsink material, it might even work with a thick sheet aluminum, just make sure there are no vents on the bottom to block.
