this computer was working great until onday i started it and the system beep started to go off repeatedly nothing working not even the BIOS screen, i have replaced the circular battery inside to no luck, can any shed some light?
JohnRocks, do you know what you are talking about? jaSUPER can't even get into the bios screen which loads before windows does so how can it be a windows software problem?
Remove all cards, disconnect front panel switches, and remove all but one stick of ram. disconnect all drives from board (disconnect at board; not at drive). Use a small screwdriver to short the power-on pins on the mainboard (the ones that were connected to the front panel switch). If it does not work like that, unplug it, remove the ram in there, and stick in another stick in another slot. If it still does not work, you could try removing the mainboard and power supply...and doing the same tests with the mainboard on a piece of cardboard or a phonebook.
repeated short beeps are a memory problem
three short are usually ram lots of short are usually first 64k memory which would indicate a system board problem

However, some systems don't beep...and sometimes repeated beeps means something that has nothing to do with the memory. The whole beep system is very haphazard.
