I have the Epson Workforce 40 printer and wondered if there was a way to use just the black ink cartridges and not the color cartridges? Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

Try reading page 9 of 36 in the manual where it shows the printing preferences.Select Black/Grayscale under Print Options and try and print.Some printers use all the colors regardless even if you are only printing with Black/Grayscale.The second link says it uses all of the cartridges.
