hi, i have a HP Dv6 i would like to copy hd footage onto the laptop via the camcorder only problem is the firewire port on HP laptops has been replaced for esata..

is there a way of still transfering the hd footage? could i get a cable with a firewire port one end and a esata port the other? im not bothered about the speed of the transfer as long as i can get the footage onto the laptop.

Hope I posted this in the right forum.

Hi, thanks for replying! But my laptop does not have a card slot. That's why I'm asking if it's possible through eSata port.
