My wife seems to have a problem with her external h/d. It has two lights on it one red (power) & one blue (which indicates disk drive read/write activity) When plugged in & turned on the blue light flashes constantly. (the power light is on). When she tries to access her drive it comes back and says "please insert disc into drive" which of course is not possible. She has also tried to delete some old "drives" that are on her sysytem & it will not let her do that either. It does not give her the option to delete them. The external drive is a "Simpledrive" unit, its plug & play and we think its about 3 yrs old. The drive is not full as far as she knows.She is running XP

Anyone got any ideas as to whats going on?
