e machines 5230 , any ideas on how i get it back to factory settings i have no cds that came with it but was told i could do it after back up all files by pressing key "f" but dont know number on start up ,is this way or will i need cd? thanks in advance

in the post screen before windows loads, you'll see f12 or something like that near bottom of screen.

that link shows the specs of your pc & also has drivers for it if you need them.
