hello,first time posting here. i have a hp a6763w and have never bought a motherboard before. can someone please suggest one for me or at least give me some info so i can get one to get my desktop back. any help is a appreciated.

Do you have any graphics or sound cards you want to put back in? What processor do you have? What kind of case do you have(ATX,microATX)?

i have a SAPPHIRE 100266HDMI Radeon HD 4830 1GB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support Video Card. the board is micro atx.i have a quad core but dont know specifics. here are the specs for the motherboard in the pc http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/docum...product=3895732

Do you know what kind of memory you have? 800 or 667? If it's 667, then you're may be out of luck. If you are 800, you have 6 to choose from.
