hi, hope this is the right place for this, my laptop died a while ago, when i tried to boot all i got was the black screen with the boot commands, but it would crash when pressing any of the buttons to boot e.g f2, f8, f10 etc... if i removed the hard drive i could get into the bios screen but this was no help. so i brought a external drive caddy to place my laptop hard drive in, i connected this to my other laptop to see what i would get, the hdd did not show in my computer but did show in drive manager, when i tried to activate the hdd it took a while then came up with an error something to do with the i/o?? i then closed and disconnected hard drive and recconected via a different port, and then in my computer popped up a device called Q:\ ? and it was named microsoft office 2010 - click to run(protected)? if i tried to open all i get is access denied, and i cant change ownership, i desperately need the files from this hdd any help???
