I need to squeeze more out of my CPU. I get severe graphics lag(to the point of unplayable and even game and PC crashes) at low settings during non-graphics intense times in my favorite game(Warhammer Online). And I know it ain't the GPU - cause that has all the power needed to run the game with everything maxed out.
my current setting is at standard with a multiplier of 9 and fsb of 200, by watching sensor software I can see the PC cycling between x9 and x6 multiplier. (acc to web x9 is max multiplier, so something else has to go up)
I'm hoping to get up to about 2.7 GhZ - and the CPU cooler is more than enough to handle that, since review sites have stated that the CPU could reach 2.7 with stock cooler(have seen example of this CPU reaching 3.2 GhZ with watercooling). And the Scythe Infinity is a beast of a cooler.
I have no idea how to get the power up - most times when I try it won't accept so I'm missing something.
If anyone can help me with precise settings for getting more power out of my CPU I'll be very greatful.
That CPU is known for being very OC friendly - so let the suggestions roll.
