to use an i7 cpu means new motherboard & new ram besides new i7 cpu. what is the specs of your system as sounds like you are using onboard video which is what is causing the lagging problem? what does the game require specs wise to play?

for an i3, i5 or i7 cpu you need a new motherboard & new ram as those cpu's are not pin compatible with your board. your videocard is a pci version not agp or pci\e16 which is why that game is so slow. your pci videocard is next to the bottom with onboard video being the bottom. to play that game properly will mean new cpu, motherboard, ram, videocard & possibly new psu for the videocard.
