i7 860 heat problems?

I just got an Intel i7 860 processor; I think it's running pretty hot.

i7 860 (Stock cooler, no overclocking)
Gigabyte P55A-UD3
G.Skill DDR3 1600 RAM 2x2GB
OCZ MODxStream-Pro 700w Power Supply

In BIOS the temps were reading a little over 50C. This seemed a little high when compared to my old processor, so I called Intel. He said not to worry, the temp is fine up to 72C. I have the beep alarm set in BIOS to alert if temps go over 70C. It started going off last night so I used Real Temp to monitor the temps. It was getting up to around 82C. I used the Intel chat support and he told me that the temp can go above 72C and that I should update the BIOS. I checked and there doesn't appear to be any relevant BIOS updates...

I also am using Everest and the temps between that and Real Temp vary by a couple degrees. At the moment Everest is reading 37-40C, which seems normal. Should I be seeing temps fluctuate that much and that high? I was only running apps like Firefox, small stuff...

Also, these are the voltage readings from Everest:
Voltage Values:
CPU Core 0.83 V
+2.5 V 1.58 V
+3.3 V 3.42 V
+5 V 5.05 V
+12 V 1.28 V
+5 V Standby 3.60 V
VBAT Battery 3.12 V

Current Values:
CPU 2.63 A

The +2.5V, +12V, and +5V Standby seem far out of range. Could this be an issue too? Thanks for the help.
