For my current computer, I got a retail HP. a6040n HP Pavilion. The motherboard is a ASUS P5LP-LE but the thing uses screws to install the CPU fan. I also bought an Arctic 7 CPU heatsink & fan which uses the standard Intel plugs. Is there anyway to get the arctic 7 to fit or is there anywhere I can get some sort of mounting clip?

The P5LP-LE is an HP board, the screws are only there to fit HP's cooler. You should be able to remove the bracket with the screws and find the right holes for the Freezer 7 underneath.

There are no brackets unless you mean like a back mount.

If there's no brackets then there will be pins there suitable for the freezer 7, because all 775 boards have those holes.

That's what I thought but there are just screws. I guess I'll check the motherboard again tomorrow.

It's probably that they use the same bracket, but rather than pushpins, they put standoffs underneath to use screws with. If you look at the board you should (judging from the pictures I've seen) see the correct mounting system, but there may be standoffs underneath which you'll have to remove the motherboard to get at.
