Hello, I've been looking for a new GPU for my computer but I'm certainly no expert.
I play cod4 and 5 on my computer as well as wow on an lcd monitor and occasionally connect it to my tv through hdmi to watch films.
My budget is quite low at 70 pounds or around that and have seen a few cards that look promising, these are:
ATI Radeon HD 5670 512MB
nvidia 9800 gt
and on ebay HD 4870

My understanding is that although a hdmi port is desirable I could get a converter from dvi with little loss of quality.

Any input, advice or places to look would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Thanks, I've read the link but didn't find it very useful, it seems to relate to lower end cards (about 30 pounds) that I doubt would run call for duty world at war at a decent fps with high settings.

Could anyone give me any advice on whether or not the cards I suggested are reasonable, reliable and decent value for money? I can understand that anything for 70 pounds isn't going to be future-proof but I'd like something that will be able to play new games on too.

Cheers.

It's also worth noting I have a pretty shitty PSU - 350w, will this severely inhibit the card I put in?

I just recently picked up the ATI Radeon HD 5570 and it works great and is around that price range. I had intended to pick up the 4670 but many reviews told me this was a better card for the price and it comes with an HDMI port.

Check it out here:
