Hey guys I have a Gigabyte EP41-UD3L Motherboard, NVIDIA Geforce GTS 250 256mb gpu. Long story short I went out and bought Battlefield Bad Company 2 and I cant play it :(

Which leads me to my question. Will this GPU work with my motherboard? Nvidia Geforce 9500GT 1GB DDR2 9500 GT 1024MB. I asked my friend who builds towers if it would work and he said as long as its the same DDR.

Any info and opinions would be highly appreciated.

Many thanks

Has nothing to do with the DDR. Just about any PCI Express x16 card will work fine...the only potential issue is with power; if you do not have a decent power supply, then you will not have enough clean, reliable power for a heavyduty card.

Yeah...you have to open the system. The good news is that most of the time, the identification sticker is pointed outwards so you don't have to remove the power supply to see it. Take a picture, or get the make & model number. Wattage rating does not matter with most power supplies, as this is usually a lie.
