My choices are

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16822136186

or

this http://www.amazon.com/dp/B0010YWPZ8/...SIN=B0010YWPZ8

Can anyone tell me if these are good External Hard Drives to get? (I've heard really good things about LaCiE drives)

I just want an External Hard Drive that wont fail and lose all my data. (had two maxtors die on me in 11months or so)

Or if you have a better External Hard Drive choice for me that is 1tb and below 110$ please share

~thanks.

i am unfamiliar with the lacie, but i would probaly but my money on it just by looking at some photos i can tell the heat dissipation would be greater than the maxtor

I recomend this one http://www.buy.com/prod/western-digital-.../205761522.html its a Western Digital My Book Home Edition, I use it and I haven't had any problems with it, it is really reliable. Plus I take advantage of the eSATA port wich speeds up writing to the drive.
