note exactly sure if this is the right section to post...
well i got a new build together.
basically:
i7-920
gigabyte ex-58-ud5 mobo
antec 80+ 620watt
evga 9800gtx graphics

This house is built in 2004, so im guessing these bedrooms have afci breakers. (as it is required in 2002) i have no knowledge of breakers tho besides that the afci protect from fire, when gfci protect from shocks. but this build trips the ciruit breaker when hooked up to the bedrooms. After 2-6 tries of it tripping and switching it back on, the computer does turn on. when it is on however there is no problem. the computer itself works good in the living room or any other room for that matter.

the top two left one is for the bedrooms. they have no label on it besides 20 and the test button that works.

i dont really want to change the power supply, but even if i do i have no clue what is compatible. also i have no clue if there is a certain brand of afci circuit breakers that don't have this problem.

also can this 620 watt power supply support two 9800gtx+?

any recommendation or information?

Thanks in advance.

oh yea it is plugged in directly for the wall. no surge protector, or battery thing yet.

When the computer is turning on is when it requires the most power. It has to spin up all the drives and fans and all that. If you get a decent little UPS (uninterpretable power supply) it might solve your problem of power overload. If you aren't familiar with a UPS it is basically a battery backup that will power your computer in the event the main power is out. So when you turn on your computer just unplug the UPS from the wall and let the computer boot on battery power.

Thanks for the reply, omnicore.

Yes I was going to look for the 'battery thing' (I guess its called UPS) or some kind of surge protector. But was wondering if someone here have the same problem or if anyone knows anything about it. I'm not the only one with this problem as google has told me. I might ask elsewhere and see if there is more info. I will get a UPS tho, had quite a few power outage recently.

Once again thanks!
