reciently i,ve been building pcs from junk: messing around with old stuff till my new parts get here.
the pc build is
mombo :jetway pa78vm3
cpu amd semperon 3ghz single core
vidcard : zotac nvida geforce 8500gt 1gb pci-e
ram: avant ddr2 800mghz 2gb x2
250gb hdd
windows xp prof.
450 watt psu.
heres the weird part.
the day i fired it up? it worked fine,
loaded windows ? error on the load :wtf?
bluescreen/ memory error: wtf?
shortened the ram to 2gb & tried again.
this time it worked better. still it would crapout on me ,
or just won,t turn on
so i shut it down for a while, & set it aside to get my other unit put together
& so 1 built another exact except the cpu was a amd phenom x4 1.7ghz quad core.
this one is a dream, loaded xp fast , tried vista , perfect, ubuntu ?
ran 10+ diffrent games everything flawlessly.
so i went back to the problum unit switched parte from 1 to another
, i know its not the parts ram hdd vidcard or the os. it leaves 1 option
the major question is ? is it the cpu,?
or is it the board or psu?
