i think this is in the right place but not sure,mods move if it isnt.

right so my pc has hdmi,so i run hdmi cable to my hd tv but i cant get no sound on the tv.although i can get it when i plug headphones into my pc but not through the screen..

can someone point me in the right direction please and tell me what i have to do

I think it has to do woth your video card might not support sound with the hdmi to your tv
you might have run ot though your sound card
