Noisy PC Fan. Is my machine over clocking

Hi peeps. I need some help. My pc always seems loud. I think its the fan, is this over clocking? If so, how can I make my pc quieter?? Here are my pc specs:


Intel(R) Core 2 Duo CPU E8200 @ 2.66 GHz 2.67 GHz

4Gig Of Ram

Windows Vista 32bit (home ultimate)

MSI Mobo. P35/G33 Neo Series

Can anyone help??

try & find which fan(s) is causing the noise as in psu fan(s), cpu fan, videocard fan, or case fan(s).

check your video card fan, those are always the loudest. Many people blame the larger fans but the small video card fan is always the loudest.

A bit baseless, among the noisiest PCs I've ever come across don't even have graphics cards. You will typically only find the graphics fan noisy when it's under load (unless of course it has worn out bearings, in which case it will be loud, and unpleasant - this befalls graphics fans more than most due to the high rotation speed)
