P4 2.8 ghz processor broken pin

a friend of mine gave me a P4 processor he dropped it and bent half of the pins i got them all straight and it falls perfectly in the slot.. except 1 pin on the outside line of pins, broke off... does anyone know if theres a way to tell if that pin is being used? some type of schematic .. someone else had this problem but i cant get ahold of him.

If it is a used pin, you still might not be screwed. The pins at the edge can be fixed with a soldering iron.

Ive looked everywhere for the specs on it but no go.. i can always just drop the processor on the board and give it a try. need a few more parts first..

Seriously, repairing an outer pin is one of the easiest soldering projects you could attempt...don't fear the iron!
