Sound Card : Realtek HD

I am a musician and use my computer for recording often and never have a problem. However, I want to record audio that my computer is streaming and that is a problem, although I have been able to do it on older computers so I'm not sure why I can't do it on this one.

I use 2 programs to record audio in my computer, Mixcraft and Audacity and neither one is giving me the option to do so.

These are the recording options I get -
CD Volume
FrontMic
Mic Volume
Line Volume

I have tried everything I can think of and no luck. I can't install the drivers because this computer was given to me and I don't have the motherboard cd or whatever it is that I would need. The computer has been reformatted various times and I have never been able to do this.

I have also searched for months online and have found MANY problems like mine, but no solution that works.

I would really really appreciate any help. If there isn't enough info here, just ask what you need to know and I will gladly tell you.

This is the Realtek HD manager, if it helps.

try give people time as it is not even 24hrs between your 1st & last posts. what is different between the old computers & this 1 as in windows & hardware? what is the make & model# of the computer or motherboard for the drivers? have you tried the backside of the pc for recording?

Well there seems to be a line in.. so audacity should find it.

http://audacity.sourceforge.net/help/faq...i=records-tapes

as per usual people don't seem to be bothered to look under the software "help"tab before whining about something not working....

Wow...

I had a problem, tried multiple things, searched for months on the internet, finding hundreds of problems like mine, did what was said, and it still didn't work. So after almost a year, I started 'whining' about it.

Dude, if your gonna complain about it, don't give advice and then say it. Just don't reply.

And it's not just Audacity, I have multiple programs I use and none of them will do it.

Thanks for the link anyway.
