since I downloaded a java oracle update, my pc wont work proper. the file sign on the menu bar keeps flashing, and sometimes I cant use the keyboard as it keeps missing out numbers or letters, I am trying to write. also the drop down lists keep dropping at random. I am on internet explorer and windows 7. thx tom

try a system restore to before the java update.

true,tho i would still try it.i cant believe i had that on my computer for so long for nothing.doesnt make a difference on facebook with win7.

question: does java have anything to do with how my facebook page opens on my desktop ?

answer: Not Java, but JavaScript, which is something totally completely different from Java.

You need to have javaScript enabled in your browser for a lot of modern web sites to display and interact properly.

p.s. Avast is the ONLY Free AV with a script filter..
