Hi,

I have an Epson Pixma MP180 printer and recently refilled my black ink at a shop in town. The first time I printed something it worked no bother but now the prints are coming out with only a few lines of whats been printed.

The guy in the shop said it may not work properly because its a refill and companies try and stop you using refills. he never said how to fix it. does anyone know what I can do to print properly without having to buy more ink?

thanks

is there a round hole on the bottom of the tank or a long narrow slit the width of the tank? right now it sounds like the ink jets are partialy plugged.

theres a long narrow slit. iv took it out and wiped it. just tried to print again and on 2 pages no ink came out at all and on the 3rd the tiniest of ink lines came out...

take the tank out & sit it on a fairly damp paper towel in a old bowl or plate. let it sit for a hour or so with the slit down so that the jets become unclogged.
