Problem with Canon All-in-One Printer

Hi, I am having a vey irritating problem with my Canon printer. It is an All-in-One system, it therefore persists of a Printer, Copier and Scanner. The problem I'm having however is that when I turn it on, the hazard light stays orange, and after that the machine will not let me scan. Whenever I try to, it insists that I continue scanning after Printer Maintenance is finished. I then get an error code: 2,114,0.

I dont know what to do and I am really annoyed. The printer Is a Canon Pixma MP220. All the drivers have been updated, and after about two weeks I would think the "Printer Maintenance" would be finsished by now..

The printer has run out of ink though. I dont know if this is the problem. It shouldnt be, I only want to use the scanner.

Any replies are appreciated.
