Does anyone know the capacity in gigs for the FIREBALL LCT 20 aka QML10000LD-A? I think it might be a 10 gig. It will be used for a tower given to me in working condition in the recent past minus the hard drive. It might be XP. it does not matter as the OS will need to be reloaded. Thank you.

1. The model is ICT 20 (probably why you couldn't find it on a search)

2. The capacity should be 10GB UNFORMATTED, 8.4 gb FORMATTED.

That's a seriously old drive (at least 10 years), I would have concerns about its reliability, and it will certainly be slow.

I have an ICT10 sitting on my shelf. I was going to gut it and make a clock.

Dailun, i would kill to see a nice clock made from that!

Quantum fireballs were stopped 9 month into production by IBM because of the Motors constantly burning out because of the 20gb models. Your clock wouldnt last long. ATA 100 drives are slow. i wouldnt use it even if you paid me

Ayame, i live for you xxx even though the sight may fade the feelings shall always remain

Ayame, i owe you my life but thats all i have to give to you as you already have my love and my heart

I should have been more specific.

I would use the platters as a clock face and mount a clock movement behind the platters.

I would probably scavenge the heads to make the 12-3-6-9 markings.

They used to be a novelty at computer shows 25 years ago.

I son't even think that the ICT10 and ICT20 were ATA-100, more like ATA-66 tops, maybe even ATA-33.
