I was thinking about getting a SSD drive on the fact that I would like things to run a lot faster on my computer. The only draw back is that they are pretty spendy. I have 2 80gb drive that I was thinking about installing windows 7 on in the Raid 0 configuration. Has anyone compared this to the speed of an SSD drive? Is it even close to the same speed?

An SSD will demolish a RAID array for loading times/speed in an OS environment. RAID gives you most of the sustained read speeds of an SSD, but nothing like the access latency or IOPS.
