First off, I'm hoping get a new power supply soon, but am extremely confused as to whether the one I want will work with my system or not, because I don't know shit about voltage and all that stuff.

Will this power supply work with this computer?

Do you know if your proposed PSU will physically fit in the space provided for the original PSU? Fans in the right places, wires coming out the right end? Not too wide, not too long. Mounting screw locations match with the screw holes in the cabinet?

Have you contacted HP to see if you can purchase a replacement PSU from them? I would also ask them for the specs on that original PSU as far as output voltages and current raings. The photograph of the PSU on NewEgg is almost legible enough to read the voltage and current specs, but not quite. If you have access the unit, perhaps you could let us know what those numbers are.

I have spent some time on the HP web site researching your computer and I would venture my opinion that the PSU you have chose will adequately power that system. You may have to turn it over so that the cooling fan is on the bottom since you will be mounting it in the top of the case, but that should not cause any problems.

My small vote, for what it is worth, is yes, it should work.

I think it should fit, but for such a high price, you should be able to get a good brand like Corsair...I doubt that Antec puts out anywhere near the advertised wattage...at least not for long.

I assume this is for a new video card. If this is the case, you should know that you might have fitment issues, and will probably need to add fans to keep it from overheating.
