I have a dell XPS w/wireless mouse and keyboard. All batteries have been checked and are good. When I boot the computer, the mouse is frozen.

Did that - nothing. My transmitter works with my keyboard, not with the mouse. I've reset several times all to no effect. This was a Dell wireless package I received with the computer 5 years earlier. Can the mouse transmitter/receiver go bad? Can I just buy another wireless mouse ( any type)? Thanks

Both the mouse and keyboard operate from the same transmitter.

Yes, the laser light is on the mouse - I've reset/reconnect on all three as per the instructions in the brochure I received. Still doesn't work. Thanks

if mouse shows in the device manager then uninstall it, restart windows so windows can find new hardware & load it's driver.

Here's my problem, how do I get to anything without the mouse.I don't know how to get to or open the device manager to check. Then, what means do I use to select and accomplish an uninstall/install? Thanks
