I've been using DVD+R, I have only burned around 4 or so games though. I just wanted to know before I go out and buy the wrong type of DVD. >_<

Yes DVD-R is the preferred on most PS2. But DVD+R will work fine also on a lot of PS2.

DVD+R requires setting the Booktype to DVD-ROM in most burning programs, although imgburn will set it automatically for most burners.

If the DVD+R are working fine on your PS2, then that is all that matters.

Thanks, smokyrain. I'll probably switch over to DVD-R when this pack is finished. Although DVD+R work fine for me. And I knew about setting the Booktype to DVD-ROM. Thanks again for your help, it's appreciated.

To answer the question "no" neither is better than the other if that's what you want to know, why then is one + & the other -,differing format type,in the early days - media was more common & compatible with dvd players, that's pretty much it,if you like using + media there's no need to change, for the record yep i use + as well
