backup copy does not load with swap magic need help

I'm really needing help here. I have swap magic 3.8 coder version, and it loads fine on my ps2 slim (SCPH-79001). I did the soft mod to it (blocking sensors,etc) and my ps2 reads original games and boots up swap magic fine. However, the back up copies I created don't load.

I have used verbatim DVD+R, and haven't tried DVD-R or another brand of media yet. I burned the DVD with IMGBURN and use DVD-decrypter. So I'm really stumped when it comes to the swap method.... Any help or tips would be greatly appreciated.

The slims should read both types of DVD's. I use dvd decrypter to burn them and it works great. There should be 2 swap magic disks. 3.8 boots ps2 cd games only. 3.3 boots dvd games only. You can tell if you have a cd game if its blue on the side that reads. You need version 3.3 to boot the game you want to run. I might have an extra but I'm not sure. I'll look and let you know
